Daisy Lee Rogers  Colledge

Daisy Lee Rogers Colledge passed away peacefully the morning of January 30, 2017 in Fillmore Utah.


On February 11, 1935 Daisy Lee was born the youngest of three children to Noah and Daisy W. Rogers. She was raised in Fillmore and graduated from Millard high school in 1953. She attended LDS business College and on November 11,1954 she married Ralph LaDrue Colledge instantly becoming a mother to his three children; Linda, Marilyn, and Buster. Later they added three girls to their family Cecilia, Teresa, and Laurelee.

During her marriage she lived in Desert Chemical, Lehi, and American Fork Utah. Daisy Lee moved back to Fillmore in 1966 when her husband Ralph died. She attended night school at UtahTechnical College ( now Utah Valley State University) which led to her career with the US Postal Service.  She held many positions during her 23 years of employment including Postmaster for Holden, Utah, until it closed. She helped take care of her parents with her brother Jay until their passing. She lived with Jay on and off for 71 years.

    She was a wonderful cook and was very skilled at knitting, crocheting, and embroidery. She loved traveling and has thousands of photos of all her and her family's adventures. As a child and all the way up until her death Daisy Lee always had pets. Dogs, cats, and at one point even a pet badger. To Daisy Lee family was her number one priority. She was the best mom to her six children and loved them dearly. Daisy Lee will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, wonderful smile, and sage advice.

Daisy Lee is survived by her brother Jay T. Rogers, her sister RuJean Brunson, two daughters; Marilyn (Byron) Morrill, and Cecilia Colledge. One son, Ralph LeVar "Buster" (Anita) Colledge. As well as 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 4 great great-grandchildren.

Proceeded in death by her parents. Her daughters Linda Larsen, Teresa Hardy, and Laurelee Colledge. Her Son in Law David Hardy, and her granddaughter Charlotte O'Hara.

A memorial service will be held Saturday February 4,2017 at 1:00 pm at the Pahvant Senior Center in Fillmore, UT. Online condolence rasmussenmortuary.com
