Lindon Thayne Stephenson, age 55, passed away on July 3, 2017, in Littleton, Colorado, while riding his motorcycle, something he loved to do.

 

Lindy was born on May 5, 1962 to George and Rhea Dean Stephenson. He was very active and loved life. In high school, he was involved in academics, wrestling and football. In 1980 Lindy graduated from Millard High School. He continued to play football while attending college at Southern Utah University.

 

Lindy spent many years serving with the National Guard. He served in many places; including, South Korea, Afghanistan, and Iraq, often serving in hazardous situations. After his military service, he continued working as a consultant with the military, he again served in Iraq, Afghanistan and most recently in Qatar. Lindy loved working on guns, he became a gun smith and shared his passion by designing guns. He had a competitive spirit and loved playing card games with family. Lindy loved his dogs, Lucy and Rocky and would take them on 4 to 5 mile walks each day. For the last several years Lindy has worked for Davita in Denver, Colorado.

 

Lindy is survived by his children Brandon George (Virginia) Stephenson, Eagle Mountain, UT; Hannah Elise Stephenson Littleton, Colorado; 9 grandchildren (Brandon’s children) Madison Britnee Stephenson, Jack Bennett Stephenson, Chloe Stephenson, Chase Stephenson, and Chelsea Stephenson; (L. Kyle’s children) Aleena and Lindon Kyle Knight; (Hannah’s children) Jasmine Elise Roybal, Anthony Nathaniel Roybal and Elijah Kyle Roybal; siblings Karen (Coral) Richardson, Holden, UT; Michael (Dianne) Stephenson, Fillmore, UT; Kayle Stephenson, Holden, UT; Debra (Rod) Meppen, Elk Ridge, UT; Myron (Robyne) Richmond, UT; Hoyt (Margie) Stephenson Evanston, WY; Preston (Roberta) Stephenson, American Fork, UT; Realaine (Brad) Goettsche, Tooele, UT; former spouses Lee Ann Church (mother of Brandon and Tyson); Cheri Stephenson (mother of L. Kyle, Hannah, and Alexander). Preceded in death by his parents George and Rhea Dean Stephenson; son, Tyson Brett Stephenson; son, Lindon Kyle Knight; son, Alexander Sean Stephenson; sister Paula Christensen; and sister Betty Ann Stephenson

 

Funeral services will be held Saturday July 15,2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holden LDS Church. Viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Holden Cemetery. Online condolence rasmussenmortuary.com
