Melba Ivie Memmott, 88, passed away peacefully November 17, 2017 in West Jordan.

She was born September 27, 1928 in Fillmore to Parley and Viola Petersen Ivie.

She married Jewell Kay Memmott July 17, 1948 in Farmington. The marriage was solemnized January 17, 1997 in the Jordan River Temple. They made their home in Kearns, Utah where they raised their 4 children. After retirement, Melba and Jewell enjoyed road trips with their favorites being Branson, the Redwoods and the Oregon Coast. In their later years they moved back to Scipio until 2015, then relocated to Salt Lake to be near her family.

She is survived by her children: Charlene (Bruce) Dugger, Michael Kay Memmott, Rodney Jay (Amy) Memmott; son-in-law, Phil Webb; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Jewell; parents; twin brother, Melvin; daughter, Sharon Webb; and grandson, Zachary Memmott.

As a family, we wish to express our deepest thanks and appreciation to Sun Ridge Assisted Living staff for the love, care and kindness given to Mom; and AFI Advanced Care Home and Hospice. A special thanks to Scott.
