Millard County will be accepting applications for a part-time position in the Clerk’s Office. This position generally requires up to 29 hours per week. SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION: Assist the County Clerk in necessary preparations of elections; voter machine maintenance and assembly, record purging, form processing, issue marriage licenses and passports; assist the public over the counter and on the telephone and any other tasks as assigned by the elected county clerk. When n e e d e d , a t t e n d commission meetings; take notes, compile information, determine proper wording, type and record minutes of commissioner’s acts and proceedings. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Education and Experience: Graduation from a standard senior high school with course background in general office practices and skills; plus two (2) years of specialized training in secretarial science, general business or related field; and Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience providing exposure to administrative processes and complex secretarial duties; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 2. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Considerable knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; secretarial procedures and method related to filing and documenting; English composition, spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.; interpersonal communication skills and telephone etiquette; s t a n d a r d o ff i c e e q u i p m e n t operation; working knowledge of various computer software applications for word processing and database files and records, principles of local government administration; communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; maintain confidentiality as needed to assure responsible public and administrative interactions. 3. Special Qualifications: Must complete specialized training related to, but not limited to, Election Management Software and Vista training; must be able to type at a rate of 60 words per minute. This position is classified as a Grade 8 on the Millard County Part-Time Employee Pay Plan. Starting wage is $11.12 to $11.74 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. The Hinckley Deseret Cemetery District, will be holding a public hearing in conjunction with their regular District Meeting, to pass the 2018 iscal Year Budget. This Meeting ill be held on December 13th 2017 7:00 pm in the Hinckley Town Council Chambers. Located at 161 E 300 N. The 2017 Budget will be opened and amended at this time. In accordance with UCA 17- 36-26, the County of Millard will hold a public hearing at the Millard County Courthouse located at 50 South Main Street, Fillmore, Utah on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 10:30 a.m., for the purpose of opening budgets for the 2017 year.
