PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that Oak City Town, in compliance with Utah Code Annotated, (1953), as amended, § 20A-1-510, will appoint an individual to fill the remaining two years of a vacated Mayor Position. Those interested in being considered for appointment to this position shall have until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 to submit their name for consideration along with any accompanying portfolio, if they so desire, to Karen Lovell, Oak City Town Clerk at her home office located at 270 West 100 North Oak City, Utah. Qualified individuals must be a registered voter in Oak City Town that satisfies the qualifications for office of City Council described in U.C.A. § 10- 3-301. Qualified applicants will be provided an opportunity to briefly address the City Council members and will also be asked to answer some questions posed to them at the City Council meeting held at 7:30 p.m., on Thursday, January 18, 2018 in the Oak City Town Hall Conference Room. After the City Council’s consideration, the successful candidate shall be selected in a closed session at that meeting and shall then be sworn into office on Thursday January 25th at 6:30 p.m. Please call with any questions you may have at 435-846-2751.
