Crowds of people lined up in the parking lot of Quality Market to buy 25 cent hotdogs, cotton candy and ice-cream Friday and Saturday in Delta.
Quality Market celebrated its 82 anniversary with lots of free giveaways, cheap food, chances to win shopping sprees and a very large monster truck in the parking lot.
Grandson of Art Jeffrey, Smith Jeffrey was one of the many volunteers working the ice-cream booth, serving countless hundreds of ice-cream cones. Delta High Student Council made money for the school by selling cotton candy. According to Scott Jeffrey, manager of Quality, they ordered 20,000 hotdogs to feed the hungry masses.
“We’re having fun, people seem to really enjoy it,” said Jeffrey.
