Oak City Town Canceled the 2015 Election by adopting the following Resolution at its Regular Town Board Meeting on October 15, 2015 OAK CITY TOWN RESOLUTION 2015-05 A RESOLUTION TO CANCEL OAK CITY TOWN’S 2015 MUNICIPAL ELECTION Whereas, the Oak City Town Council as the duly elected legislative body of the Town of Oak City does hereby wish to assert its authority granted under Utah State Code 20A-1-206 to cancel a local election if: All municipal officers are elected at-large, The number of municipal officer candidates does not exceed the number of open at-large municipal offi ces for which the candidates have fi led, There have been no write-in candidates fi ling for candidacy as of the deadline date. Each municipal offi cer candidate is unopposed, and There are no other municipal ballot propositions. Oak City Town Council does hereby declare that all of the above conditions have been met, and resolves to cancel the municipal election scheduled for November 3, 2015. Lieutenant Commander Marcie Starley Wilde recently returned from a six month deployment in Bahrain and Kuwait in the Persian Gulf. Marcie’s daughter, Brynn Wilde, has been living with LaVoy and Patsy Starley, her grandparents, and attending Millard High School while her mother was deployed. Brynn was told her mother was fl ying home from the Middle East on Friday, October 9. Brynn received a huge surprise when her mother showed up to the Millard vs. North Summit football game the night of October 9. It was a wonderful, heartwarming reunion when Brynn’s mother aproached her. Welcome home, Lieutenant Commander Marcie Starley Wilde. Thank you for your service to our country and local community.

Children grow and develop their personalities in various ways. While many youngsters are teased or receive some good-natured ribbing at some point in their school careers, some teasing can eventually turn into bullying.
