Boletta Chloe Gardner Langston was born in Delta, Utah, on February 17, 1937, the eldest daughter of Clair and Alice Gardner.

After an extended illness of seven years that robbed Chloe of her ability to communicate, she passed away on February 29, 2024, with family by her side at Mesquite, Nevada. 

Chloe graduated from Delta High School in 1955.She left Delta to study at Utah State University where she met and married Thomas Manning of Lehi, Utah.Together they had seven children.Chloe and Tom’s marriage ended in 1978.In 1989, Chloe married Austin Dale Langston, a recently widowed childhood romance and welcomed Dale’s five sons and their families into her life.Chloe loved photography, sewing, and traveling. Chloe joined the American Red Cross in Provo for many years overseeing emergency support/services during natural disasters. But her favorite role was being a mother and a grandmother. 

Chloe was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings. Chloe and Dale served two LDS missions together.Chloe was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers (DUP) for many years. 

Chloe is survived by her children, Gary (Carolynn) Manning, Cherie (Ron - deceased) Zeeman; Lori Manning; Sandra (Patrick) Koon; Kevin (Martha) Manning; Thomas (Stephanie) Manning, and Wayne (Lori) Manning and stepchildren, Jeffery Langston (Holly), Mark Langston (Diane), Kirtus Langston (Angie), Dean Langston (Andie), and Eric Langston (Julie).  She is also survived by her brother Kent (Linda) Gardner and sister Carol (Paul) Morgan, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her husbands, father, mother, brothers and sisters-in-law, and a son in law. 

Funeral services will be held on March 8, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the Oak Hills 4th Ward, 925 E. North Temple Drive, Provo, Utah (with a visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m).  A viewing will be held March 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home at 85 E. 300 S., Provo, Utah.
