The first occurred last Thursday, when a Nissan Armada driven by Ramon Frausto, 65, of Las Vegas, allowed the vehicle to drift off the left side of northbound I-15 and overcorrected.

The car then crossed all lanes of traffic, leaving the interstate, said UHP Sgt. Greg Kelsey. The vehicle overturned and went through a fence.

The vehicle was carrying seven additional occupants, ranging in ages from three to 47 years old. Two of the occupants were taken to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center; the remaining six were treated at the Fillmore Medical Center.

The second accident occurred Monday morning, when a Ford Explorer was traveling southbound near milepost 185 along I-15.

The driver, whose identify was not provided, “dozed briefly at the wheel, and drove into he rear of a semi that was traveling in the right hand lane,” Kelsey said.

The Explorer then spun 180 degrees and stopped in the middle of the roadway. The car was occupied by seven people aged seven months to 32 years. All occupants were transported to Fillmore Community Hospital in stable condition. The driver of the semi was uninjured.
