Seasonal Public Works Employee
Fillmore City is accepting applications for a seasonal Public Works Employee. Hours may vary depending on workload. Starting wage $19.00/hour. Position includes a variety of routine to complex maintenance duties including but not limited to streets, sidewalks, parks, cemetery, airport, water lines, and sewer lines.
JOB SUMMARY: Works under the direction and general supervision of the city public works director.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS;
•Resident of Fillmore
•Trustworthy, dependable, accountable, responsible, and thorough
•Physically able to bend, climb, lift weight up to 75 pounds
•Ability to obtain commercial driver’s license (CDL)
•Safety conscious
•Self-motivated
•Timely response to after hour emergencies
•Ability to operate and maintain city equipment
•Ability to use hand tools
•Ability to follow directions
•Ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary
•Ability to perform heavy manual labor
•Is positive, optimistic, even tempered
•Relates well with people - other employees and the public
