She was born on December 11, 1952 in Rochester, New York to Albert "Bud" Dougal and Ester Harriett Storen Grant.

When she was young, Cheryl's family moved to Salt Lake City Utah to be closer to other members of the LDS Church. While working in a box factory, she caught the eye of a coworker and thus met the love of her life, Kenneth Dean Poulsen. They had a great relationship from start, and spent many wonderful years together. They were married on April 13, 1980 in Ely, Nevada. They had the joy of raising their four children together: Shane, Scott, Dawn and Kenneth, Jr.

Cheryl loved people, and they loved her back. She had many wonderful friends in Delta, and she loved them all. Cheryl worked for the Fillmore Office of the B. L. M. at Little Sahara Sand Dunes as a visitors center specialist. She was always kind and friendly and deeply enjoyed working with the public. She was also trained as an Emergency Medical Responder. Cheryl helped to save countless lives, and caringly consoled many grieving families. She loved to crochet, go camping, and do anything involved with her husband, Ken, or her children. She will be sorely missed by all that know her.

Cheryl is survived by her husband: Ken; children: Scott (Deb) Brooks, Dawn (Gene) Day, and Kenneth Poulsen, Jr.; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brothers: William (Carol) Corp, Kevin (Susan) Grant; sisters: Pat (Dwight) Elliott, Valarie (Glenn) Blake. She is preceded in death by her son: Shane Brooks; and her brother: Albert Dean Grant.

A Graveside Service will be held Monday, January 2, at 11 a.m. at the Delta City Cemetery. Friends unable to attend are invited to view the recorded video of the Service. The link will be posted with her obituary at www.nicklemortuary.com by Monday afternoon.
