John David Pedersen, age 50, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, in Delta, Utah.

He was born on June 16, 1969, in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, the oldest of two sons, to David Pedersen and Linda Bown (AKA Madsen).  John grew up mostly in Spring City, Utah.  In his younger years, he enjoyed camping, listening to his parents play music, sing, and traveling.

John graduated from North Sanpete High School in 1988.  After graduating, he married Jennifer Buckley.  They began their life in Nephi and had three girls, Jessica Ann, Kendra, and Emily Rose.  They later divorced.  He then married Tina Mangum.  Together, they raised his three daughters and her son, Timothy, but they also later divorced.

On September 15, 2012, John married the love of his life, Sheri Ann Dekker in Delta, Utah. They spent eight wonderful years together. John really loved and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.  In addition to family, his other great love was spending time on the golf course. He will be remembered for his quick wit and subtle sense of humor.  He was friendly with everyone he met, including his coworkers in his various jobs.

John is survived by his wife: Sheri; children: Jessica Slaymaker, Kendra (Warren) Clark, and Emily (Benjamin) Pena; stepchildren: Timothy (Melonie) Mangum; Mackenzie (Allen) Houston, Austin (Reba) Thompson, and Christie (Niki) Robison;  14 grandchildren; siblings: Kelly (Joey), Melissa, Stephen, and Jamie; step-siblings: Deborah, Brett (Christy), and Brandon; father: David Lee Pedersen; stepfather: Daryle Hatfield.  He is preceded in death by his mother: Linda Bown; stepmother: Marilyn Hope Pedersen; and his brother: Ryan Pedersen.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 9, at 11 a.m., at the Delta LDS Stake Center Chapel, 125 White Sage Avenue.  Viewings will be held at the Delta Stake Center on Sunday, 6 to 7 p.m. ; and Monday, 9:30 to 10:40 a.m., prior to the service.  Interment will be at the Delta City Cemetery.  Condolences may be left at www.nicklemortuary.com.
