She was born on September 15, 1933 in Delta to Glen Courtland and Herma Nielson Stewart.

Ethel served her community working at the Bookmobile and the City Library for 25 years. She was considered the bookmark lady, as she gifted so many bookmarks that she personally decorated with kind words, poems and images to her many, many friends. She also gave away her bookmarks as gift bags to many people for their birthdays. She would never forget a birthday. When quizzed with a date, she could tell you who of the many people she cared about had that birthday.

She enjoyed genealogy research, and traced back many years of her family. She will always be remembered for her deeply caring soul. She also loved her cats.

Ethel was the last of the intermediate Stewart family. She made close ties to her many friends and others from the church ward and through town. She enjoyed their company and was very grateful for their friendship.

She will be greatly missed in our family.

Ethel is survived by her nephew: Robert Rainsdon and his wife, Bonita Rusby Rainsdon; great nieces: Cindy Stewart, Tracy Rainsdon James, and Tonya Rainsdon; and sister-in-law: Colleen Barben Stewart. She is preceded in death by her parents: Glen and Herma Stewart; sisters: Carol Stewart and Ruth Stewart Price; and brother: Joe Stewart.

Family Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 8 with a Graveside Service held at 12:00 noon at the Delta City Cemetery. A link to the video of the service celebrating her life will be posted along with condolences at www.nicklemortuary.com.
