Dec. 26, 1970 ~ April 28, 2020

Michael Lynn Western, 49, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at his home in Tucson, AZ. He was born Dec. 26, 1970 in Delta, Utah.

He is survived by his son Eric Johnson, his parents, Ray and Fayetta Western; brothers and sisters Gene (Darlene); David (Julie); Ryan (Betty); DeAnn (Tom); Mark; Richard (Angela); Kristine (Brock); Erik (Shirley) and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Kimberly.

Michael served his country faithfully in the Marine Corps and Air Force. He was an outstanding chef that would never disappoint. He knew how to handle himself in the kitchen and on the battlefield. Michael was extremely loyal to those whom he loved. He had deep passion in standing up for others, for that he will always be remembered. He loved motorcycles and could always be found with his dogs Snickers and Penelope by his side.

Recently he spent most of his time making beautiful denim quilts and unique antler canes that were ornately decorated. He enjoyed giving them away to those in need. He selflessly looked out for those who needed help and loved to make people smile. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which brought him complete joy.

We will forever miss his smile that told you he might have played a trick on you but mostly that he cared. Michael will be buried at the Deseret Cemetery with Military Honors. Details to be shared at a later date.

Until we meet you again, we love you. Semper Fi.
