April 29, 1927 ~ June 20, 2020

Mary Ella Robison Petersen, age 93, was welcomed into the waiting arms of her beloved Paul on Saturday morning, June 20, 2020.

She passed away peacefully in her home of causes incident to her age. Mary Ella was born on April 29, 1927 in Meadow, Utah to Henry and Charlotte (Lottie) Cowley Robison. She was eternally married and sealed to Paul Andrew Petersen on February 14, 1951 in the Manti Temple. He passed away May 24, 1977.

She spent most of her life in Meadow and was proud to call it home. She attended school in Meadow through the eighth grade and graduated from Millard High School in 1945. Mary Ella worked for Millard County in the assessor's office as the deputy county assessor. She later worked at First Security Bank as a bookkeeper until her retirement. She met Paul when she was the president of the YWMIA and he was the Stake Music Director. She was blessed with six sons and although she had no daughters of her own, was blessed with five wonderful daughters-in-law. She loved her family and was a constant support for them, standing by them in good times and bad times, her love never wavering for them. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving for many years in the YWMIA (Young Woman Program). Mary Ella loved to read and was proud to have received a book in second grade for reading the most books. She continued to read even when her sight was going, keeping up reading the Ensign magazine, the Church News, and Come Follow Me lessons. She was the rock of the family with her faith and trust in God, and tried to instill this in her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is greatly missed here, but know that she is being welcomed on the other side by her loving family who preceded her.

Mary Ella is survived by her sons: Gary (Lanette) of West Jordan, Utah, Kim (JoAnn) of Idaho Falls, ldaho, Marlo (Susan) of Orem, Utah, Terry of Meadow, Utah, and Mark (Annette) of Manassas, Virginia, 20 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul, son Scott, and two grandchildren, Garret and Matthew, sister Lavella; brothers Marvin, Loyal, and Wayne.
