Jon Irvin Beckwith transitioned to eternity with Jesus Sunday, August 23, 2020.

He was born July 15, 1944 in Provo, UT to Martha Ione Beckwith and Dee LaVar Beckwith. He married Christina (Gilger) LaVella September 1, 2010 in Fillmore, UT.

He attended BYU High, Trade/Tech College & Real Estate School in UT, and College of the Air in CA. He was president of Diamond Fork Circuit Breakers (CB radio). He retired from Alcoa Aluminum in Phoenix AZ, but his greatest love was pastoring Fillmore Baptist Church these past 12 years and the jail ministry at Millard County Jail. He loved people and his utmost desire was to see them have a relationship with Jesus Christ. He enjoyed camping, reloading, shooting (for which he earned many belt buckles) and being with his family.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Christina Beckwith in Fillmore UT, and his adoring children: Dawnya and Sean Perry in Provo, UT; Lisa and Jeff Mecham in Payson, UT; Shawna and Mel Edwards in Orem, UT; Lila and Mick Jackson in Fillmore, UT; Jeena and Daniel Ortiz in Fillmore, UT; Terra and Josh Kirk in Spokane Valley, WA; Tony and Alaina LaVella in Coeur d’Alene, ID; Denise and Andre Rajote in Antioch CA; and his brothers, Rio Varne Beckwith in Goodyear, AZ; Leo Demar (Kim) Beckwith in Joseph, OR. He is preceded in death by his sister, LaOne Nielsen; mother, Martha Ione (Sedgwick) Beckwith and father, Dee LeVar Beckwith. He has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
