Dennis Craig Leavitt, 68, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020 in Delta, Utah.

He was born November 25, 1951 in Delta, Utah to Arnold (Lug) and Nellie Rae Tolbert Leavitt. He married Charlotte Webb on March 25, 1972 in Delta, Utah. They were married for 48 Years.

Dennis lived his whole life in Delta short of three years when he joined the Army. While in the Army he served in the Vietnam War. After returning from the war, he met the love of his life, Charlotte and they were married a short time later. In January of 1973 their son Craig was born; in December of 1977 their daughter Denise was born. Dennis worked for Delta City, he was a truck driver for West Side Grading. He worked for the State of Utah on the Road Dept.  He and Charlotte became active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 2010. In September of 2010 they were able to be sealed in the Manti Temple for time and All Eternity. Some of Dennis's favorite things to do was to ride out west and take pictures of the wild horses. He also loved going out and watching "His Kids" rope at DM Quarter Horses. Most of all his greatest blessings were his three grandchildren: Roper (14), Cienna (12), and Austin (7). He loved spending time with them and hearing about all that they were involved in. They sure do love their Papa!

Dennis is survived by his wife Charlotte; his two children: Craig (Tacia) Leavitt and Denise (Courtney) Cropper; sisters Debra Anderson and Sharmaine Leavitt; three grandchildren; he is proceeded in death by his parents; parents-in-law Howard and Ila Webb; his brother Ronald Leavitt.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 1:30 at the Delta City Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Delta 3rd and 4th Ward Chapel prior to the graveside. Online condolences can be offered at www.olpinstevensfuneralhome.com
