Oct. 12, 1943 ~ Nov. 10, 2020

Carol Gavin, 77, passed away peacefully in her home in Sugarville on November 10, 2020.

Carol was born October 12, 1943 to Lon and Lucille Wood.  At the age of 19, mom met and fell in love with her husband at a western dance at Woodrow Hall in Woodrow, Utah.  She married Donald Fred Gavin Sr. on December 15, 1962 which was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Take Temple. Mom and Dad had been married for 57 years. She took over the raising of two rambunctious boys ages 4 and 2 from a previous marriage. After dad retired from the military after 30 years they moved back to Delta. Mom and Dad moved 28 times during their marriage to end up where it started, in Delta. For 15 years mom took care of her parents before their passing.

Mom attended and graduated from Hollywood Beauty College in Salt Lake City, Utah. She worked in her trade for over 17 years. Many would come far and wide to have her do their hair. She had such a talent and love for making people feel good.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother (Roy) and her son (Boyd).  She is survived by her husband (Don), Son Carl Gavin (Patti), Son Don Gavin jr. (Amy), daughter Teresa Gray (Dallas), daughter Melinda Smith (Shane), sisters Bonnie Hill, Nadene Bleazard, brother Dale Wood (Shirley), 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Mom never met a stranger. Those who knew her loved her. She was such a giving and loving person and would do anything for anyone. It is hard to try to describe how precious mom was. How do you describe someone who you know is absolute perfection? She made the days brighter and the world better. Mom will be missed more that we can ever express. She will be in our hearts and minds always.

We Love You MOM!!
