Terry Payne, age 77, passed away at his home on December 3, 2020 in Delta, Utah.
Terry was born on May 9, 1943, in Cardston, Alberta, Canada to Sydney and Zoe Payne. His family moved to Oregon when he was 13-years-old. In high school he participated in football, track and wrestling. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Southwest Indian Mission.
He married his sweetheart, Lynda Damron, on September 3, 1965 in the Oakland LDS Temple. Terry enjoyed boxing, playing professional polo and riding horses. He loved spending time with his family camping, fishing, hunting and riding UTVs. He was always the life of the party. Everyone loved his "true stories." He cherished his friendships. He was always willing to help others.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents Sydney and Zoe Payne and his brother Curtis Payne. Terry is survived by his wife, Lynda, son: Shawn Dusty (Tonya) Payne of Delta, daughter: Taralynn (Scott) Moon of Salt Lake; siblings: Colleen Smith, Marion (Stu) Wilde, Cindy Arnold, Robert Payne; 7 grandkids and 8 great-grandkids. Terry will be greatly missed by all.
