Deanette Thomas Almanza, age 53, passed away on December 26, 2020 in Delta, Utah.

She was born December 13, 1967 in Albuquerque, NM to JohnLong and Mabel W. Thomas. She married Victor Almanza, later divorced.

Deanette was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  When she was in High School she came to Delta on the Indian Placement Program and lived with Clyde and Carolyn Stevens and was soon apart of their family. She enjoyed get togethers and camping trips. She was also welcomed into the Mundi and Lois Pedersen family. Together she enjoyed having lots of family around.

Deanette will be remembered for her sense of humor and contagious laugh. She enjoyed working for Quality Market for several years. She made some lifelong friends there.

She is survived by her children: Dustin Almanza (Delta), Caleb Stevens (Herriman), Teanette Almanza (Provo) and one granddaughter Do'lii Almanza (San Diego, CA). The Stevens and the Pederson Families. Sisters: Vernice Thomas of Toadlena, NM, Vera Yazzie, Darlene Thomas and Dorene Thomas, Naschitti, NM, Vivian Todachinnie of Montezuma Creek, Utah. Brothers: Ashley Thomas of Naschitti, NM, Arnold Thomas Farmington, NM, Travis Thomas Fillmore, Utah, Jeffery Thomas, Tohlaka, NM.

She is preceded in death by her parents JohnLong and Mabel Thomas. Brothers: Alex Thomas, Elton Thomas and Anthony Thomas. Mother Carolyn Stevens.

Graveside service for Deanette will be Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 1 p.m. in the Hinckley, Utah Cemetery.  Online condolences can be offered at www.olpinstevensfuneralhome.com
