Mary Bell Memmott 83 of Scipio, UT passed away February 19, 2021 at her home in Scipio.
She was born July 30, 1937 in Ferron, UT to Orvel Stanley and Sarah Lucille Keith Allen. Mary went to schools in Emery County, UT. She married Reed Lamar Memmott August 17, 1972 in Murray, UT. Mary worked for Alpine School district in the school lunch until she retired in 2000.
She loved traveling and camping in their motor home. She enjoyed going to yard sales and collecting angels, dolls and carousel horses. Mary was very handy and loved making quilts and doilies. She enjoyed putting puzzles together with her husband Reed. Mary was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving others.
Mary is survived by her husband Reed of Scipio, UT; children, Jerry (Angela) Thompson, Salt Lake City, UT; Richard (Sue) Thompson, Anderson, CA; Karl (Ellen) Thompson, Lakeland, FL and Tim Memmott, Chester, UT; siblings, Lavar (Linda) Allen, Provo, UT; Kathleen Alder, Gunnison, UT and Lavon (Kenyon) Jensen, Gunnison, UT. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Orvel Allen and David Allen, sisters, Dorothy Uremovich, Winonna Zwahlen; sons, Jack Thompson and Don Clark Thompson.
Graveside services will be held Friday February 26, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the Scipio Town Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to services from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Scipio Cemetery. Online condolence at www.rasmussenmortuary.com
