Reveau Christensen Newby, 96, passed away peacefully Friday, March 12, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

 Reveau was born Sept. 1, 1924 at home in Kanosh Utah, the second child of five children born to Freda George Christensen and Charles Emory Christensen.

Preceded in death by her husband Ward D Newby, brothers: Verge and Vernon Christensen, Sister Arlene Christensen McNamara and a grandson, Adam Lynn Newby

Reveau is survived by her four children, Sons: D. L. Newby, Paul LaMont Newby (Chris), and daughters: Jan Reveau Newby Sorensen (Brad), Lee Ann Newby Brady; sister Leah Robinson. 

Reveau enjoyed a long and beautiful life, one full of family and friends. Her heart was filled full with the love of 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, who were often in her home, loved her and will miss her greatly. With so many friends along the way, either through her church activities, her work associates, or the neighborhood friends she made, she was rich and blessed with many who loved her.

Reveau was a Utah native whose family was a big part of the settling of Kanosh, Utah.  She loved Utah as her home, and never thought of living anywhere else. Leaving Kanosh at age 18, only to move to SLC, she was happy to return to Kanosh in her retirement in 1980. She enjoyed gardening, playing pinochle and traveling. The California coast was a favorite place to visit of hers. She traveled to Oregon, Washington State, Nauvoo, Illinois, Yellowstone Park and the Hawaiian Islands.

A Viewing will be held Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Olpin Stevens Funeral Home (55 W 200 S, Fillmore, UT). Following the viewing, a service of remembrance will be held 12 pm. also at the Funeral Home.
