Amanda Beth Masner Arkin left this earthly life and returned to her Heavenly Father on May 19, 2023, in Chester, Virginia.

On November 29, 1983, Amanda was born in Delta, Utah, to James and Carol Masner.  She was her daddy's little angel and her momma's pride and joy.  She grew up in Holden, Utah, and graduated from Millard High School in 2002 and then attended Southern Utah University. In September 2003 She joined the Air Force and attended basic training at Lackland Air Force Base. After basic training she attended Security Forces training school.  While serving in the Air Force she was stationed in Curacao, Germany, and Virginia.  Once stationed at Langley Air Force Base she became the first female member of the Emergency Service Team. In 2009 Amanda  graduated from Kaplan University with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Psychology.  

While serving in the Air Force, Amanda met her eternal companion, Joshua Allen Arkin who was also serving in the Air Force. They were married on November 12, 2005. Together they traveled and visited many countries throughout the world. After settling in Virginia Amanda used her knowledge to help others. She continued her career in Public Safety in Petersburg, Virginia as a Federal Corrections Officer working her way to a promotion as a Lieutenant Shift Commander.  

Amanda was genuine, had a kind heart with a loving and gentle nature, and she enjoyed making people laugh.  She had interpersonal and organizational skills and a positive attitude. She had many talents, she enjoyed, knitting, crocheting, and building things, working in her yard and loved playing with her dogs. 

Amanda is survived by the love of her life, Joshua Arkin of Virginia. Her parents James and Carol Masner of Oregon. Her father and mother-in-law, Danny and Jamie Arkin of Virginia.  She is also survived by her siblings, Jennifer (Roger) Frazier, Allison (James) Wyatt, George (Julia) Masner, and brother-in-law, Kenneth Arkin. She had 5 nephews and 5 nieces, 1 great-nephew, and 1 great-niece. Amanda is loved by many family and friends. Amanda your family and friends love you and you will be greatly missed. This is not goodbye, but see you later.
