Nathan Davies Groesbeck, 66, passed away of pancreatic cancer on June 12, 2023 at his home in Fillmore, Utah surrounded by his family.

He was born July 7, 1956 in Ashton Idaho to Paul S. Groesbeck and Beverly Dean Davies Groesbeck. He married Karen Joyce Wilde on July 17, 1982 in the Oakland California LDS temple.  

Nathan was born in Ashton Idaho where his family lived until they moved to Richfield, Utah where he spent the rest of his school years. He served an LDS mission in the Philippine Islands from July 1975-July 1977. Nate met his wife, Karen, at Brigham Young University where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in physical education and a minor in psychology. He accepted a position at Millard High School in Fillmore, Utah, teaching mathematics. He and Karen lived, taught, and served there for the remainder of his life. Nate loved his time at Millard High School as a teacher, and coach of football, basketball and track and field. He retired in 2021. Nate spent his spare time serving in the church, caring for his yard and garden, helping his children with house projects, watching sports, and making things for the grandkids in his woodshop. 

He is survived by his wife, Karen; his four children and their spouses: Jennifer and Jackson Berry, Jacob and Kaci Groesbeck, Kara and Cody Markham, and Jamie and Jordan Cotterell; his 15 grandchildren; his father, Paul Groesbeck; and 6 of his 8 siblings. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Groesbeck, his mother, Beverly Groesbeck, and his sister, Mary Holden. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the Fillmore Stake Center.  The visitations will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and prior to the funeral from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. both at the Fillmore Stake Center. Interment will be in the Fillmore cemetery under the care of Olpin Stevens Funeral Home.
