May 7, 1952 ~ June 26, 2023

Steven Robert Frampton, loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend passed away June 26 in his home.

Steve was born May 7, 1952 to Robert and Evelyn Frampton in Fillmore, Utah. Steve grew up and lived in Fillmore for his whole 71 years of life and was very proud of that. It’s where he learned the skills of hard work, loyalty, and dedication through his family and many other people he associated with throughout the years. He graduated from Millard High School with the class of 1970 and briefly attended college in Cedar City, Utah. He decided he would come home to pursue his future dreams and sweetheart, Joyce Ann Hinton. They married June 30th 1972 in Meadow, Utah. This was the beginning of their many adventures together. In 1974, they welcomed their first daughter Tina Marie and in 1978 their second daughter, April Joy. Steve and Joyce began their business, Steve’s Tire in 1977 and continued to grow as a team for 45 years. Steve and Joyce worked hard together, had many opportunities to serve their community, as well as travel together. He treasured sharing time with his sweetheart, their family and many wonderful  friends. No matter where they ventured, he always said, “There’s no place like home”.

Steve served in the community as an EMT, member of the Jeep Posse, city council, and various LDS Church callings. Steve had a big heart and was always willing to help others and see the best in them. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow and supporting them in their activities, as well as sharing his stories and wisdom with them. He had a passion for automobiles, great food, pulling the slots in Mesquite, and car shows. We were able to enjoy one last ‘Old Capitol Car Show’ with him. Our hearts are broken, however we know he has missed his sweetheart, Joyce, since she passed in February 2021. They are reunited to celebrate their 51 years of marriage on June 30 and be together for eternity.

Steven is preceded in death by his father: Robert H Frampton; father and mother- in-law: Arvid and Molly Hinton; his wife Joyce Ann Hinton Frampton; many beloved grandparents, and pets.

Steve is survived by his mother Evelyn Frampton; sisters: Diane (Dwight) Memmott, Terri Hoover; brother-in-law: Darby Hinton; daughters: Tina (Jason) Rasmussen, April (Randy) Mullins; grandchildren: Mariah (Cole), Britton, Megan (Payton), Gage; great grandchildren: Ayzlee, Everlee; bonus grandchildren: Aubrey (Jed), Brecklei; Tessa, RJ; and their Steve’s Tire and Carquest Family.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 3 at 11 a.m., in the Fillmore 1st and 4th Ward building, with viewings on Sunday, July 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Online condolences can be left at www.rasmussenmortuary.com
