Her beautiful smile and happy, positive disposition have changed our lives and will be greatly missed.

She was born February 13, 1938 in Fredricktown, Ohio, to Charles Russell and Mary Jane Gray Sayre. She married Kenneth Wendell Sanderson on September 6, 1957, in Mar Vista, CA and they were later sealed for all eternity in the Los Angeles Temple on March 4, 1967.

Bonnie moved from Ohio to Southern California when she was 4 years old. As a child, she was adored and incessantly teased by her 3 brothers. She played Tarzan and Jane with them in exchange for a very short tea party she would host for them. Despite all the teasing and games they were always her protectors. She met our dad through her older brother, Jack, and they married and settled in Mar Vista, California where they began raising their family. Mom enjoyed life with her family in Kwajalein, Marshall Islands, Fillmore, Utah, Salinas, California, Scipio, Utah and finally back to Fillmore, Utah where they finally enjoyed retired life. Mom and Dad always felt like Fillmore was their home because of the many close friendships they made.

She was a great support to our dad in all of his endeavors and to all of her children and grandchildren in their activities. Family was her main focus and we love her for that.  She was a peacemaker.

She is survived by her four children, Cindy (Rod) Staples of Delta, UT, Lynda (Brett) Larsen of Logan, UT, David (Katherine) Sanderson of Bend, OR, Susie (Darren) Perkins of Kanosh, UT, 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and her brother Rodney Sayre of Hawaii. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny, her brothers, Chuck Sayre and Jack Sayre, her grandson-in-law Brian Fink and great-grandson, Kenneth Colton Perkins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the Fillmore 1st/4th Ward Chapel at 330 E 500 S, Fillmore, UT, with a viewing September 1, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and September 2, at 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
