Dee Roger Moon passed away peacefully August 27, 2023 in his home in South Ogden, Utah.

Roger was born in Provo, Utah, to Nephi and Ettie (Fuller) Moon,  August 18, 1941, the youngest of thirteen children. 

Roger grew up working on the family farm/ranch in Hanna, Utah, and living in Provo, Utah during the school year. He was an All-state level athlete in football, wrestling, and track and field at Provo High school.He received a scholarship for football and played for the University of Utah, and Southern Utah Community College.

Roger met the love of his life, Lana Lee Rowan in 1961, married and was sealed in the Salt Lake City temple February 25, 1963. She preceded Dad's passing April 19, 2021. Dad was very giving, honest, talented man, and loved his children and grandchildren/great grandchildren, as well as being loved by them all.

Roger took courses to become a certified diesel/gasoline engine mechanic and worked at Rick Warner truckland in Salt Lake City. He went back to school and earned a Bachelor's degree from BYU in accounting, and worked for the IRS for a year before deciding he did not enjoy working in doors. He owned and operarted a farm and feedlot in Delta, Utah for over 25 years, before he sold it and moved to Ogden, Utah. He worked again for the IRS for thirteen years before retiring.

Roger is survived by his four sons; Greg (Katherine), Scott (Tara), Garett (Alisa), Lafe (Mindy), and his daughter Deanna (Brian), as well as twenty grand-children, and eleven great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service at the Leavitt Cemetary; 836 36th St. Ogden, Utah 84403, at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023. There will also be a light luncheon at the Birch Creek 4th Ward building at; 4995 Adams Ave. South Ogden, Utah 84403, at 11:30 a.m.
