July 5, 1938 ~ Sept. 14, 2023

Our wonderful, perfect mom passed from this life, on the beautiful fall morning, (her favorite time of year) of Sept 14, 2023.

She was born in Cedar City Utah. On July 5, 1938, to Nelden Brunson and Delores Bonetti. She was a beautiful, dark haired beauty and enjoyed her storybook childhood in Fillmore Utah.

She attended Fillmore schools and graduated from Millard High School in 1956. She was always proud to be called a Millard Eagle.

She married her childhood sweetheart, Gary Alonzo Stevens on June 28, 1957. They enjoyed 53 wonderful years together until his passing, which completely broke her heart.

Mom had a career working for the Millard School District along with the Millard County Treasurer Office for many years. She was an excellent pianist and taught many children in the area how to love and play the piano. One of her favorite songs to play for us was “The Old Oaken Bucket” and she could play it perfect.

Mom was a wonderful homemaker and mother, always a hot meal was found in our home. She never missed any of the activities her children and grandchildren were involved in. She was very proud of us all.

She was a member of the Fillmore Fire Dept. Women’s Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Fillmore Fine Arts, and Ladies Club where she loved to play cards with some of her dearest friends.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and taught her children to love the gospel. She served in many callings in her ward. Giving service to others was a true talent of hers. Many a person has been the recipient of her kind acts.

Her unconditional love for others was truly magnified as she lovingly cared for aging parents for many years until their passing.

She leaves behind a great legacy of love in her children and grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure.

She is survived by her only sister-Frankie (Roger) Clark of Hyde Park Utah, her children- Tammy (Richard) Sherman of Green River Wyo., Tori (John) Robison of Mesquite Nev., Traci (Shim) Callister of Oak City, Utah and Travis (Sheila) Stevens of Fillmore, Utah; 13 beautiful grandchildren, 33 treasured great-grandchildren with the youngest one being born just hours before her passing.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved and special “adopted” daughter Rozann Stuckey.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sweetheart Gary, her in-laws Milton and LaRue Stevens, brothers-in-law Glade Stevens, and Don (Ann) Stevens.

There will be a visitation at the Fillmore LDS Stake Center on Monday Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. to  11 a.m. and graveside to follow at 12 p.m. in the Fillmore City Cemetery. Online condolences at www.rasmussenmortuary.com
