Patricia Alice Doyle, our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully on August 22, 2023 at the age of 79.
Pat was born July 3, 1944 in Afton, Wyoming and stayed a country girl at heart the rest of her life. As a young girl she loved to go to dances and soda shops afterwards. She married John M. Doyle February 5, 1960. They had six children and a very adventurous life with the family traveling together often. After raising her children Pat went to work helping those with disabilities learn how to get along in a workplace. She retired from Walmart as a department Manager. She loved her jobs and working with so many great people.
Pat loved the yearly camping trip with the extended families, ALL animals, music, puzzling and being with her family. Watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up was one of her favorite things to do. Pat was simple and gentle, never modernizing as she grew older. She valued love, integrity, honesty and family above all else. She loved to dance, loved the worlds beauty and enjoyed birdwatching from her bedroom window at her daughter Sandra's house as her cancer progressed and she was unable to get around any longer. She always reminded us to stop and enjoy the little things life gave us. Her passing leaves us all with broken hearts and sad days ahead. We will see each other again soon enough under the rainbow!
She is preceded in death by her mother, husband, brother and other loved family members. Pat leaves behind a sister Linda Burnett, six beautiful children; John K. Doyle, Charlotte Holman (Mike), Patricia Smith (Weston), Sandra Tucker (Rich), Suzanne Nesbitt (Brent) and Christine Doyle. She has 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
The family would sincerely like to thank Gunnison Home Health and Hospice, Keystone Hospice and the Tucker family for taking such great care of her.
