Steve Campbell was born on May 7, 1973, and adopted by Monty and Corline (Jones) Campbell, Steve was the brother of Michael (Lluvia), Christine, Joseph, Evie Lynn Campbell, Julie (Brett) Taufer, Jabez, Samuel (Susan), Paul Douglas, Monty II, Charity, and the late Phillip Campbell.

His home town was Buffalo NY, which explains his deep love for the Buffalo Bills. He had many people in his life who became his family–friends who became brothers and sisters, children who became nieces and nephews, even their dogs became Steve’s little shadows. Anyone who was lucky to know Steve, knew he would love them with all his heart, and protect them no matter what. He would without a doubt give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, though I’m not sure he would give you his sandwich so willingly.

Steve was a 1991 graduate of Gowanda High school, graduate of Santa Fe Indian Art School of New Mexico, and worked in Payson, UT as a carpet installer for 25 years.

Before working as a carpet installer, he served as a “Manny” or male nanny, for his friend, Ian Rupp. Ian had custody of his two children, Samantha, age 4, and Kayden, age 1. Later, Ian married Chelsie Rae Dutson and Steve started his career in carpet laying.

Steve always stayed close with the Rupp family, spending time during the holidays, watching football and helping coach baseball games. If he wasn’t coaching, he was in the stands cheering with all of the Rupp children.

He will be sincerely missed by Ian and Chelsie Rupp, and their children: Samantha, Ashtyn, Kayden, Meika and Tre.

Steve was creative with his artwork, always eager to learn new things in life, and had so much passion. He was mostly known for his unforgettable laugh, huge heart for any person and animal, and his big hugs. You would hardly ever see Steve without Buffalo Bills merchandise, long hair and beard, and a grin on his face.

We will miss Steve dearly, and know his memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him. We hope you are having the best time being reunited with good old Mackey. Be sure to give him a belly rub and play catch with him for us.
