Aug. 7, 1961 ~ Nov. 22, 2023

Rebecca Ann Reimschiissel Perry, 62, completed her earthly mission on Nov. 22, 2023.

Rebecca was born Aug. 7, 1961, to Willy and Vivian Green Reimschiissel. One of seven children, she gained a strong work ethic helping on the family farm.

After graduating from American Fork High School, “Becky” attended Snow College, where she met the love of her life, Dan Perry. The two were married Sept. 19, 1980, in the Manti temple.

Becky paused her education to support Dan’s, and to become a mother to her four children. For 20 years, they lived in Hinckley, Utah where they raised their family and made many life-long friendships. When the opportunity came, Becky jumped at the chance to enroll in Weber State’s nursing program where she graduated with honors.

She loved working as a registered nurse at Delta Community Hospital, where she took great pride in compassionately serving others for several years until the family moved to Denton, Texas. There she worked for twelve years at two local hospitals, caring for people during their most vulnerable moments.

Becky loved to share her talents of crafting, sewing, painting, fixing, and many other projects with family and friends. Additionally, Becky shared her love of music teaching piano lessons for many years and singing at local community events.

A life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Becky served in many ward and stake capacities in Young Women’s, Relief Society, and Primary. She also enjoyed singing in the ward and stake choirs and serving as ward pianist. When Dan was called to serve as bishop over their ward in Woodland, Washington, Becky proudly took on the role of “bishop’s wife,” supporting him in his responsibilities and ward outreach efforts.

But Becky would say that her greatest roles were that of wife, mom, and later, grammie, to her seven grandchildren. She loved being with her family and had many adventures in traveling to support Dan’s career as well as her children and grandchildren with countless sports and activities.

She is survived by her husband, Dan – Parowan, Utah; her children: Brooke (Ryan) Heath – Parowan, Utah; Jordan (Kacey) Perry - St. George, Utah; Nicole Perry – Parowan, Utah; and Brendan (Haley) Perry – Fort Worth, Texas; her grandchildren: Katelyn, Gavin, Cooper, Lauren, Griffin, Jocey, and Perry; five siblings, and brothers- and sisters-in-law. She is preceded in death by her parents; mother- and father-in-law; brother, Mark; and nephew.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Parowan “west” building 59 S. 100 W. Parowan, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the same location. Interment will be at the Aurora City Cemetery under the care of Southern Utah Mortuary.
