January 23, 1932  ~  December 16, 2023

Yvonne Robinson Shurtz, age 91, passed from this earth on December 16, 2023 at her daughter's home in Leeds, Utah.

She is reunited with her husband, Jay; daughter, Linda; and grandson, Mike Mosher. Yvonne was the daughter of Joshua and Mary Nielsen Robinson of Fillmore, Utah. Yvonne was raised in Fillmore. She eventually met the love of her life, Jay Homer Shurtz, and they were married on April 15, 1950 in Fillmore. They were later sealed in the Manti Temple in 1977.

They made their home in Sugarville, and she has lived there since. They raised three children: Linda, Gwen and Spencer.

Yvonne was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Church and her love for Christ were very dear to her. She held many callings throughout her life, and was very faithful in the Gospel.

She worked with the Delta North Elementary School lunch program, providing 15 good years of service there, and making many friends and loving the little children. She was an excellent seamstress. She made her daughters, Linda and Gwen, many beautiful matching frilly dresses. The family enjoyed camping, fishing and rock hounding. She and Jay traveled with their siblings on many wonderful trips.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Linda Shurtz; grandson: Mike Mosher; five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by daughter: Gwen (Ron) Mosher of Leeds, Utah; Spencer Jay Shurtz of Duchesne, Utah; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; sister: Ireta (Elden) Shurtz of Sugarville; and brother: David (Jeri) Robinson of Fillmore.

We wish to thank the staff of Beehive Care for their great care of Yvonne, and the many friends she made.
