Robert Leroy Barnett was born on January 27, 1940, and passed peacefully on October 30, 2023 in Nephi, Utah surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his parents: John Winfred Barnett and Doris Avaline Wilson Barnett of Exeter, California. He is survived by his sons; Sean and Tony Barnett and his grandsons; Jake, Josiah and Jack Barnett. His final wish was that his ashes be given to the Pacific Ocean, near San Simeon, California.
I only knew my dear friend and sweetheart in our autumn years. He was a kind and gentle man, much given to generous and anonymous gifts. From gift cards to our Fillmore, Utah first responders to those in need of help with their utilities in the cold depths of winter, he was always there.
Many wonderful days were spent together in the mountains and desert. We had so much fun and happiness when we were 4-wheeling, bike riding, kite flying and watching the beautiful sunsets. Now, after 18 years together, you must leave, and I must stay.
I shall miss you.
