October 18, 1979 ~ January 14, 2024

Emily Shelley MacLee (age 44) passed away on January 14, 2024, at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah, surrounded by her husband and mother.

Emily was born October 18, 1979, in SLC, Utah to Richard and Debbie Shelley. At age 2, the family moved to Delta, Utah, where she grew up, the middle of 5 children. She had an active childhood, enjoying softball, dance, basketball, and family activities. A special blessing was living next door to her Stoddard Grandparents in a wonderful neighborhood. In addition, her Shelley grandparents from Arizona were a positive influence on her life as were her many Aunts, Uncles, cousins from both sides.

Emily attended high school at Delta High with a loyal group of friends who have remained close. Emily married (later divorced) Benjamin Chey Perkins. Their child, Rory (Isabella) Perkins was born 1998 in Delta. Emily worked several years as a C.N.A. at the Nursing Home and also for Home Health. Emily later married Timothy Patrick MacLee. Together they had two children, Linkin Alexandar MacLee born 2009 and Indica Noel MacLee born 2010.

Emily’s interests included listening to music, reading, scrapbooking, camping, fishing, being outdoors. She was often spunky and spontaneous, and loved life. She was kind and compassionate with a big heart and always tried to help or encourage those that needed it. In recent years, Emily’s health declined from an illness, yet she tried to be present to laugh and talk, or watch movies with her husbands and kids. She loved her siblings and missed having them live far away. Our dear Emily with her beautiful smile will be greatly missed.

Emily is survived by her husband Tim MacLee, children Rory, Linkin, and Indica; parents Richard and Debbie Shelley, brother Christopher Shelley (wife Heather, brother David Shelley, sister Jennifer Hale (husband Brandyn), and sister Mindy Mortensen (husband Austin). She is preceded in death by 19 wk. infant Jonathan Patrick, Grandparents S.O. and Marilyn Stoddard and Eldon and Marian Shelley.

A Celebration of Life Service was held on January 20, 2024 in Delta, Utah 3rd Ward Bldg. Our thanks to the Delta 3rd Ward members, the Millard County Sheriff Office and Ambulance crew, Dr. Crapo, Dr. Dekker, and Delta Hospital Staff for their compassionate care and service.

We would also like to thank all of those many friends and family who have extended their love through messages, phone calls, flowers, text messages, food, and kindness to each of us through this difficult time.
